Rod Stewart (Roderick David Stewart) è nato a Londra il 10 gennaio 1945 ed è un cantautore inglese, che nella sua straordinaria carriera ha venduto più 100 milioni di dischi.
Dotato voce roca unica, placida nelle lentissime ballads e graffiante nelle note alte con quel timbro riconoscibilissimo, anche ad occhi chiusi lo riconosci il grande Rod.

Iniziò la sua carriera nei primi anni '60, entrando nel giro del Blues Inglese nel 1964 con degli amici del calibro di John Paul Jones, futuro Led Zeppelin. Di lì a poco si aprirono le porte del Paradiso entrò a far parte del Jeff Beck Group assieme al grande amico Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones) con cui nel 1969 entrò negli Small Faces per formare i The Faces.Il grande successo non tardò ad arrivare nel 1971, con l' album Every Picture Tells a Story, ma la storia dei Faces stava per finire, complice l' entrata di Ronnie Wood nei Rolling Stones nel 1975. Rod Stewart a quel momento abbracciò il puro e inconfondibile soft rock ed al pop, arrivando quasi sempre nei primi posti delle classifiche mondiali, grazie a brani che fanno parte della storia musicale internazionale, canzoni come Sailing, Tonight's the Night(Gonna Be Alright), Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? e molte altre. La sua festa di compleanno, si è svolta a Los Angeles (dove vive) con i suoi familiari ed amici.
